Kent & Curwen, the fashion label co-owned by David Beckham, has unveiled a new collection in collaboration with hit TV show Peaky Blinders.
Unveiled at London Fashion Week this weekend, the Autumn/Winter collection designs included staple looks from the 1920s-era show, including grandad shirts, waist coasts, wool overcoats and of course, the flat cap. The range comes labelled as by ‘The Garrison Tailors’, named after the Shelby family’s Birmingham pub.
“I’m a big fan of the show and our brand has always been about the look,” David Beckham told The Guardian. “It keeps that authenticity.”
As for his love of the flatcap, the former footballer said: “I got that from my grandad. I wore his from a very young age. Brooklyn [Beckham, son] has taken it on as well.”

Meanwhile, shooting on Peaky Blinders series five is currently well underway – with the show expected to return in Spring or Summer 2019.
Earlier this month, a short trailer for the series was unveiled, showing protagonist Tommy Shelby left in shock after a car explosion.
It has also been confirmed that a Peaky Blinders movie is in the works. Director Otto Bathurst has said that a big screen adaptation is being crafted too.
“I think it’s actually being written,” said Bathurst. “I think Steve, Steve Knight the writer, I think they’re planning something, yeah.”
