China’s Military Announces Live Fire Drills Surrounding Taiwan Following Pelosi Arrival

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) announced that its military would conduct live fire exercises in the waters on all sides of Taiwan following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s arrival on the island. Chinese state-owned outlet Xinhua issued an announcement from the CCP’s military wing, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), which said that it would be conducting live fire exercises in six separate spaces on all sides of the island.
