Does this prove that there’s a Sabrina and American Horror Story crossover?

Netflix show drops an intriguing hint

Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina may have a crossover with American Horror Story, according to a new theory.

In Netflix’s new Sabrina series, the half-witch’s Aunt Hilda makes a passing reference to her cousin Montgomery, who Aunt Hilda says is a movie star.

There are two famous actors named Montgomery who it’s thought Aunt Hilda could be referring to.

One is Elizabeth Montgomery, who played one of the original witches on TV, Samantha Stephens in the sitcom Bewitched, which ran on the ABC network in the US from 1964 to 1972. Montgomery won five Emmy and four Golden Globe nominations for her role.

However, the other Montgomery could be the fictional Madison Montgomery, as played by Emma Roberts in American Horror Story. Montgomery was hugely popular in Coven, the third AHS series, and the character recently re-appeared in the franchise’s latest series, Apocalypse, facing the all-powerful Michael Langdon.

There have as yet been no other clues in Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina as to which – if either – is related to Sabrina’s family. The theory was picked up on in a Buzzfeed article which listed many other Easter egg hidden references in the Netflix show.

Based on the comic book of the same name, the 10 episodes of the first season of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina were released by Netflix on October 26. It stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, with other cast members including British actors Lucy Davis, Richard Coyle and Michelle Gomez. Davis starred in the original British version of The Office, while Gomez portrayed The Master in Doctor Who.
