This is a tribute! Tenacious D announce another massive London show after huge demand

Kyle and Jack are back...

Tenacious D have confirmed details of a second UK show for 2019.

The comedy rock legends, made up of Jack Black & Kyle Gass, announced last month that they’ll be taking to London’s SSE Arena Wembley on June 2. Now, the rockers have added a second date at the venue – June 1.

Tickets for the extra date on June 1 go on general sale at 9am on February 15, priced from £35.00 plus booking fees.

The shows come after the duo released their fourth album ‘Post Apocalypto’ in November 2018, which featured an appearance from Dave Grohl on drums.

The record was also accompanied by a surreal YouTube series of the same name, which featured animations that were hand-drawn by Black himself.

Post-Apocalypto finds Tenacious D thrust into a world of complete and utter destruction following the drop of an atomic bomb. Surviving the attack in classic cinematic fashion (a good old imperishable 1950’s refrigerator), the duo quickly learns that new forms of evil have spawned from the blast,” an official synopsis of the show teased.

“One thing becomes apparent — for humanity to prevail, Tenacious D must save the world.”

In 2017, Black also accused Thor: Ragnarok of copying School Of Rock, which he starred in.

“You know in School Of Rock when I sing a part of that monstrous Led Zeppelin jam ‘Immigrant Song’ and it’s super bitching, and like the raddest part of the movie?” he said in a video. “Well, it’s come to my attention that someone kind of stole that chunk of our movie and put it in their movie. That’s right – I’m talking about Thor: Ragnarok.”
