Chris Hemsworth set to play Hulk Hogan in a new Netflix biopic

Thor meets the Hulk (Hogan)

A new biopic of Hulk Hogan’s life is being made by Netflix, with Chris Hemsworth set to play the iconic wrestler.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth will play the iconic wrestler in a film said to “focus on Hogan’s rise” to fame in the 1980’s. It is further described as “an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.”

The biopic will reportedly be directed by Todd Phillips, director of the Hangover trilogy and the upcoming DC Comics film, Joker. The Hollywood Reporter says “deals for the Hogan project are in the midst of closing” with Netflix.
