The Weeknd, Travis Scott and SZA are recording a song for Game of Thrones, it is being reported.

According to Pitchfork, a source close to the project confirmed that a new track from the three artists will feature in the eighth and final season of the hit TV series.

It is being reported that the Game of Thrones team reached out to The Weeknd to record the song and he then brought Travis Scott and SZA onto the project.

While not officially confirmed, the rumour of a song has been circulating on Reddit, where fans have speculated that it will end up on a compilation of music inspired by Game of Thrones. It’s also been discussed on a Travis Scott fan page.

On Wednesday (April 3), the premiere for the final season of Game of Thrones took place in New York. While fans of the show have to wait until April 14 to watch it, the cast gathered for a final red carpet to celebrate their adventure together. Meanwhile, late last year The Weeknd hinted at a new album by sharing a piece of new artwork.

In an Instagram post, the Canadian singer captioned a black and white silhouette graphic of his various side profiles with: “love this. VI”. There’s an image of him with his iconic hair set deep into the stencil design as well as an illustration of his current look.
