The 1975 have said they are “gutted” after being forced to cancel a massive show on their US tour.
The BRIT Award winners were forced to cancel a show at Colorado’s Red Rocks after getting caught in a snowstorm on their way to the show.
Posting on Twitter, the band’s label Dirty Hit confirmed that road closures had prevented the band from reaching the iconic outdoor venue.
“Tonight’s 1975 concert at Red Rocks is cancelled due to road closures across Interstate 80,” a statement confirmed.

“The 1975 and all their equipment are stuck on Interstate 80 and unable to reach Red Rock to perform tonight.
“The band love playing at Red Rocks and are gutted to not be able to make the show this evening due to the adverse weather conditions. They’ll be back as soon as they can to make up for it.”

Frontman Matty Healy added: “I’m really gutted we can’t play Red Rocks tonight we love it there so much.”
The band are yet to confirm if an alternative date will be arranged.
It comes midway through their touring for acclaimed third album ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ – which received five stars from NME upon release.
Last month, the band sat down with James Corden and discussed plans for the follow-up ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ – which is set for release later this year.
Healy said: “I don’t think you can do that with one record now. You can if you do like, singles. Your Drakes of the world, who are these amazing artist, but they’re very single oriented. That’s about keeping peoples attention for three minutes. That’s not where our forte is, but we want to be as expressive as possible. We make albums, so just gotta make another album.”
Healy also revealed to Corden that he forgot to tell his bandmates about his suggestion that the band could organise their own festival in 2020.
